Environmental Management System – ISO 14001:2015
ISO 14001:2015 is the standard that outlines the requirements for a company’s environmental management system. The environmental management system is the cumulative processes and policies the company has in place to manage and mitigate environmental impact of the company’s operations. The system is the formalised, documented account of the organisation’s strategy, efforts and targets over the organisation. With respect to the industry in which Teoma operates, ongoing improvement and implementation of emerging technologies has been a large motivator in achieving this certification.
Teoma, having achieved certification to ISO 14001:2015, was able to demonstrate that it had met the following criteria.
For a long time, our company has been assisting other firms to achieve their environmental objectives through energy-efficient technologies and even further in our works developing waste management systems that have seen installation across Australia. With this background, our company has been able to develop practical, formalised processes for how our company mitigates its environmental impact.
Some initiatives that we have been able to implement in our facilities are BMS driven Energy-efficient LED lighting and heating/cooling. This system minimises energy consumption in our office facilities. We also include extensive recycling of materials from the site for things like all metals, building waste, excess cabling, fluro recycling and even separating our recyclable materials into separate waste streams, which dramatically increases the likelihood of materials being recycled.
As part of certification to ISO 14001:2015 the company will ensure the system is maintained in accordance with the current standard. As part of this, our team will constantly assess and evaluate our goals and also any emerging areas in which we can improve our performance and further mitigate the impact on the environment.

This system is comprehensive including policies and procedures specific to the services and projects the Company delivers.
Having a recognised certification to ISO 45001:2015 means that our clients can be confident in the conduct and capability of our staff throughout the delivery of our services.
